IT Business Analyst
Duties & Responsibilities
- Serves as the first point of contact for tech support. Ensures the overall effectiveness of IT solutions in day-to-day operations. Troubleshoots and resolves network, systems, applications and other technical issues. Installs, configures and maintains desktop, laptops, printers and other peripherals. Configures required technology for new hires.
- Administers core platforms, including O365, Salesforce, ERP and ServiceNow. Assists users in understanding and utilizing technology effectively. Coordinates with third party partners and vendors to maintain platforms.
- Responsible for safeguarding digital data, including company, customer and supplier data, from theft, damage or unauthorized access. Restricts viruses and cyber attacks from accessing or corrupting data. Maintains security controls and conducts security audits.
- Works with business partners across the organization to understand system challenges and opportunities. Analyzes and documents business processes and data flows. Designs improvements to increase efficiency and usability. Recommends solutions to enable the organization to meet its goals.
- Collaborates with partners and vendors on requirements for new technology solutions. Coordinates project activities with external partners and business stakeholders. Works in conjunction with external partners to ensure successful adoption of new technology.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required
- Minimum of 5 years of information technology experience
- Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
- Experience in cyber security required
- Experience leading or supporting digital transformation strongly preferred
- Familiarity with Datacor and/or ServiceNow a plus
- Proficiency with network configuration and management, firewall installations, and administration of operating systems
- Knowledge of IT service operations and business process realignment; Basic knowledge of IT architecture
- Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, SharePoint) and Google Sheets
- Strong communication skills; Ability to assist and train others
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills; Strong organization skills
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities, manage time effectively and meet deadlines accordingly
- Ability to develop innovative approaches and ideas for improving efficiency and effectiveness; Ability to bring operational insight to strategic discussions
