Senior Manager/Supervisor

As our Controller based in our Atlanta Office you will be responsible for the accounting and financial reporting of our newly launched Renewable Energy division. This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer, and will have significant responsibility and impact across a key business vertical.

  • Build/manage accounting team and financial reporting processes
  • Review/prepare property monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Approve payables and determine sufficient cash reserves
  • Set up new properties in systems
  • Assist team with accounting challenges and questions
  • Review bank reconciliations
  • Assist with annual audits
  • Monthly account reconciliations
  • Special projects and financial reviews, as requested
  • Work with other departments to be aware of any state, local, or federal regulations

Requirements:

  • 10 years of experience with a comprehensive knowledge of accounting
  • CPA preferred
  • Public accounting experience preferably
  • Experience in energy, particularly renewable energy, advantageous but not required
  • Fluency in reviewing financial reports as well as high level excel proficiency
  • Knowledge of technical GAAP accounting and the ability to research
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage through complex issues
  • Highly motivated and tenacious work ethic with the ability to successfully meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop good working relationships at all levels both within the department, within the company with other departments and outside the organization
  • Proven people management skills to oversee a small accounting department with ability to guide and motivate department employees
